The Ulong tribe was on the chopping block again in last night's third episode of Survivor: Palau, as tribe members decided Jeff's injury to his ankle would be something that would only hold the team back.
The Koror tribe's Day 7 began with a cat fight between Karen and Katie, as Karen believes Katie has too much to say all the time.
Karen eventually loses it, calling Katie "crazy" and creating tension in a tribe that has yet to lose a member. A $1-million dollar prize could bring people to losing their minds temporarily.
The first challenge on last night's episode was physical, involving swimming out to a life ring, grabbing it and doing whatever necessary to be the first back to the pontoon. The only setback: both tribes were in the running, meaning that one could splash, dunk or even hold another competitor under water to succeed.
Angie showed her alliance with team member Bobby Jon, as they worked to again win the challenge, providing Ulong with sewing supplies and material to make clothing.
Ulong may have "totally shut out" Koror in the challenge, according to Bobby Jon. However, he was still was not impressed with tribe members going as far to accuse Kim of not seeing work that could be done, only giving orders from the sand.
Meanwhile at Koror's island, members are getting cold and hungry.
Hungry enough to kill venomous snakes, and maybe even sharks. As the snakes hung to dry out in the sun, the dripping blood lured baby sharks toward shore. Tom and Ian, with sharpened wooden sticks, somehow thought they could kill a shark. But at least Ian was truthful in saying the whole shark-thing gave him the "heebee geebees."
Even though Ulong seemed strong during the reward challenge, it was no secret that after a gruelling jaunt around in a submerged circular course, carrying 20 pound sand-filled bags on their backs, the weaker Ulong tribe was again heading to tribal council and Koror claimed immunity from elimination once again.
Ulong could not seem to catch a break as cuddle partners Kim and Jeff, were forced to be the centre of whispers of who would get voted out of the game.
In the end, Jeff pleaded to be sent home as his ankle was too sore to walk on.
Ulong discussed not losing Jeff, justifying that even when wounded, he was still stronger than Kim. (Chopping coconuts with one machete blow.) But the final decision, with four votes, put the flame out for Jeff.
