The madness has GOT to stop. I love men. I need men. I exist because of men. Why on Earth would I vote them all off of the island? I understand that Ami is a lesbian and men aren't important in her world, but this has gone too far. When there were two tribes, I understood. It wasn't only men vs. women, it was tribe vs. tribe. But now, the women are up 6-3. To vote people off just because of their gender isn't fair. Sarge, Chris and Chad are not going to stage a miraculous comeback if you drop a couple of the ladies. Personally, I'm rooting for them.
I don't blame Julie and Twila. They made the right decision. Rory had been consistently performing in the challenges and they couldn't afford to have him go on a run. There are still three men plus the two of them and that adds up to a five-four majority if they choose to go that way. If they do not choose to go that way, Ami, Scout or Leann wins the game. At least, that would be the likely scenario.
Let's see how the game breaks down individually as we move into the jury phase.
AMI
I like her and I always have. Strategically, she would appear to have been successful. There is one flaw in her game plan. Her enemies know she's pulling the strings and it's only a matter of time before the puppets find out. Ami has made the right moves to get her across the board. She just hasn't been very quiet about it. In any master plan, you have to leave as much room for failure as you do for success and if Ami's "plan" for female domination fails -- she'll be the first to go. Assumption of supremacy can plant you flat on your face. Live it. Learn it.
SCOUT
Scout isn't as big of an offender as Ami. She really does like everybody and is just a very positive person. I admire that in her. Game-wise though, it would be a travesty if she won. She doesn't perform in challenges, she doesn't strategize. No winner ever, whether you agree with their victory or not, has gotten by on being nice alone and was completely dragged to the end. If Ami goes, it's over for Scout. The men never would have kept her and if they take control, they won't keep her. I love Scout as a person but I can't even comment on her gameplay because she hasn't really played the game.
ELIZA
I love Eliza, but I never seem to "get" her alliance choices. They've never appeared to be beneficial even though she's still here. She's in a spot right now that makes it almost impossible for her to make final two. Eliza doesn't really know the guys. Scout, Ami and Leann would all take each other to the final two. Julie and Twila have gotten really close on Lopevi. Personally, Eliza would help herself the most if she'd jump the Yasur ship and go with Julie, Twila and the men. But I would be shocked if that happened.
LEANN
Even though Leann is one of my favorites, I still feel that I don't KNOW her. She and Ami appear to be best friends right now. I do understand why Leann sides that way as having gotten divorced. Any women can tell you that after a divorce, you really dislike men for a while. What better way for payback than kicking some masculine butt? The difference with Leann is, I think for her it's fun and not personal. Without Ami's influence, she'd be closer to the guys. But that's just my take on it.
TWILA
She's just the bomb! Twila brings so much energy to the show and it's so fitting to have her around the men. You can tell how much more confident her game has gotten and she's so outgoing over there. Twila may have a friendship with Scout, but I really do hope that she wakes up and realizes that Ami is the devil and she needs to trust the guys. Okay, so Ami isn't the devil, but she's out for her own interests. Regardless, I want Twila up with the final four.
JULIE
The other girl I'm crazy about in this game. Sometimes, Julie's behavior makes me laugh. If anyone that knows me ever wondered "what would CJ be like if she ever really made it on Survivor" -- picture Julie. I'm not a person who is afraid to show off their body. I also think Sarge is sex-ay. In an odd sort of way. Not that Julie thinks so, I just would have been cuddling with him too. And that painted "Jeff" heart -- right out of my playbook. I think Julie is the dark horse to win this thing. I've liked her from, well, pre-game even. She obviously likes men as much as I do, so hopefully Jules spares the rest of them and proceeds to kick ass the rest of the game.
SARGE
Way to go Sarge! Woooo hoo! Not only was he canoodling with a very attractive young lady, but he was showing some skin too. Pre-game, I never would have pegged him to be so laid-back. But that's a really cool thing actually. Damn. Now I have a crush on him. Damn. The one thing with Sarge is that he surrounds himself with people he gets along with and plans to go to the end with those people. BUT -- I don’t think he’s really thought out what he’s going to do if it all worked out. Take Chris to the final two? Take Chad to the final two? Take Julie to the final two? *wink wink* I just don’t know how much that’s crossed his mind. Which is why I doubt Sarge makes final two. He’s one of my faves, but sometimes I have to be honest with myself.
CHRIS
Chris’s game play reminds me a lot of my own also. It’s the type of strategy that COULD backfire, but if it works, it works like a charm. He has STILL not been targeted since Episode 1. Why? The other guys were more… distinguishable in the sense that they could be a threat. JK was the young stud. Rory was, well… Rory. Sarge is the charming leader. Chad is the soft-spoken sweetheart. Chris is… the other guy. He’s not a superstar in challenges, he keeps his mouth shut when he has to, he’s not TOO likeable. The only way Chris will go out in the next 3 TC’s would be via the Female Revolution or via some crazy act of God. Period.
CHAD
I always have to crack up at Chad’s expression when the final vote is read at Tribal Council. He’s so cute. Chad’s safe right now. If the women really DID pick off all of the men, they’d leave him for last. I still think he’s going all the way. More thoughts on Chad next week.
RORY
The one thing I always found interesting about Rory was his ability to contradict himself. Coming over to Yasur was such a breath of fresh air. Yet he was SO happy to be reunited with the men. And Rory was always so vocal about his feelings that both sides got annoyed with him at one time or another. There are things I like about Rory, but I’m one of those people who can find the best in anybody. Unfortunately, most people in life aren’t that way and that’s why Rory is in Loser Lodge and not in the final two.
If I didn’t mention it -- my prediction is STILL alive. One might shake their heads at the possibility of a Leann/Chad final two. It certainly doesn’t look remotely do-able. BUT -- the evidence is there. The Chad vs. Leann clip that I saw on a preview in Week 2. Sarge’s comment in this last episode about “it’s all going to come down to men vs. women”. It was foreshadowing. Granted, if it were a man/woman final two, Chris vs. Julie would probably be more exciting BUT I’ll take any man in the final two at this point.
Next week, just from the previews and info on the official site, I think a woman, probably Ami is going home next week. As long as it isn’t one of my favorite six. *begs*
