Andrew Savage - Internal Memo
Posted by: producer
August 29, 2003

This morning on SurvivorSucks, notmyrealname (not his real name, we assume), posted the following memo that cam from Andrew Savage's Law Firm.

He stated, "I have a friend who has a friend in the law firm and will provide whatever I can. This memo was delivered to all employees via e-mail - and as we know e-mail is soooo damn easy to forward out of the company."

Dear All:

As some of you know, Andrew Savage has returned from his summer personal leave of absence. Contrary to what many assumed, the cause was not a family health issue. Actually, Savage was working hard collecting and boiling water, gathering firewood, searching for food and vigorously competing in certain challenges on many remote islands in the Pearl Islands off the coast of Panama. What are we talking about? Well, brace yourself. Our own Savage was a castaway on Survivor 7: the Pearl Islands. "Savage from Wildman on Survivor!" It has a great ring to it. For those of you who are fans of the Survivor Series, you need no explanation. For those of you who are not, I strongly suggest that you set aside Thursday nights beginning with September 18 (the premiere) to watch what Savage has described as "an unbelievable adventure!"

All kidding aside, 60,000 people applied to be on Survivor 7, arguably the #1 show on television (averaging 27 million viewers per week in the U.S. alone and broadcast in over 50 countries) and Savage beat the odds. Shuftan and I had to sign stringent agreements not to disclose Savage's involvement on Survivor until today's date, which is why we were not able to give out more information about Savage's personal leave. As a side note, Savage's physical and mental health are excellent and he's thrilled to be back.

Please note that if asked, Savage cannot disclose any details about the episodes and especially how well he did so you might as well save your breath. We'll just have to watch each episode with anticipation as the drama unfolds. More information about Survivor: the Pearl Islands can be obtained at the CBS website and many other Survivor fan websites throughout the Internet. Join me in cheering for and supporting our Savage on Thursday nights as he scrapes and claws his way toward hopefully achieving the status of the "Ultimate Survivor."
