Off the island: 'Survivor' player arrested in bar

It's seems like only yesterday that Portland's Lindsey Richter was crying her way through CBS' "Survivor: Africa."

But nearly two years later, Richter's eyes again were swollen from crying after she was arrested at a Portland bar for slapping and biting a security guard.

Police said that on early Saturday morning, Richter was at the Aura Bar, 1022 W. Burnside St. The bar has a one-way restroom mirror looking out toward patrons. She was trying to look into the restroom.

That's when a security guard told her to stop it, but Richter said something to the effect that the security guard wasn't her boss.

When the security guard grabbed her arms, Richter slapped and bit the guard, said Officer Henry Groepper, a Portland police spokesman.

She appeared to be drunk when police arrived, Groepper said.

Richter, 28, was arrested on fourth-degree assault charges. She was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center, then released. She has an Aug. 12 court date. -- Lys Mendez

For what it's worth, I've seen this happen a million times. Security guards get all pissy when someone doesn't obey them and then they start to get physical. I small a lawsuit against the bar for having a one-way mirror.

Lindsey, you are by far one of the most interesting people to ever be on Survivor. Keep up the good work.

Having a one way restroom mirror is absolutely nuts in the first place. Second place the guard shouldn't have even put his hands on her for being curious.

I wonder how many people try to look into the restroom with the one way mirror? And also while I understand why she hit and bit him. I think that two wrongs don't make a right.

Silas and Lindsey would automatically "band" together if they were cast in the same season of All-Star Survivor. Other possible alliances are Richard Hatch and Tina and Rob Cesternino; John (Caroll) and Lex; Kathy and Sue; Rudy and Colby?

Is everyone too young to know any difference about a job to be done and some biting drunken ninny? Hope all those that say that the guard should have been more mistreated never be able to get any other job except being a guard and shall you endure such crazyness!
